The Philadelphia firm of Edward A. Greene & Co., commission wool merchants, with a branch office in Boston, opened in 1881. Members of the firm included Eugene van Loan, joined 1882, William Coffin, joined in 1883, and Francis Hathaway and John Dickey, joined in 1892. The firm apparently dissolved in 1893 with Greene's death.
